Anyone who can defend themselves with a stick or a club can use this umbrella. The frames of the Unbreakable® telescopic umbrellas model U-202 are handmade from high-strength steel and polyester fibreglass laminates. The telescopic shafts of these umbrellas can support weights of well over 100 kg (220 lb) when extended and will last more than a lifetime if not abused. It is normal for the handle of the U-202s model to rotate freely when the tube is retracted.

When the telescope is extended, the handle and the rod are prevented from turning, but you can overcome the blockage with light force. In order for the telescope model U-202s blockage to hold well, the rod must be pulled out energetically and with a jerk so that the ball-bearing lock engages completely.

Important Instructions Because Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Got Popular with the Wrong Kind. It is normal that the Model U-202s’s handle spins freely when the telescope is retracted. When the telescope is extended, the handle and the rod are blocked from spinning but one can overcome the lock with mild force. For the Model U-202s telescope’s blockade to hold well, the rod has to be pulled energetically, with a snap, so its ball-bearing lock can engage fully. Whenever your umbrella gets wet, leave it open to dry. Allow your umbrella to dry fully before folding. Otherwise mold will grow on the umbrella’s fabric. As mold grows, it creates enzymes, which digest the fabric’s fibers on which it is growing, causing permanent fabric damage and weakening, with a result like this case described. Please note: The telescopic pole of the Unbreakable® telescopic umbrella model U-202s is made of high-strength structural steel, not stainless steel. After contact with water, the shaft must be wiped dry and lightly oiled. If rust stains form, they must be removed with a Scotch-Brite pad or steel wool before oiling. To oil, put a drop of machine oil on a soft cloth and rub both the tube and the shaft bar with the cloth. If your umbrella has become wet, leave it open to dry. Allow the umbrella to dry completely before folding it up. Otherwise mould will form on the fabric of the umbrella. As the mould grows, it produces enzymes that digest the fibres of the fabric on which it grows, causing permanent damage and weakening of the fabric, with a result as in the case described.

IMPORTANT! Our Unbreakable® telescopic umbrella is designed for protection from the elements (in every sense of the word) and not for clowning around. It is covered with a high quality waterproof fabric, not an abrasion or cut resistant fabric, because it needs to look, weigh and function like a normal umbrella.

So don't expect this fabric to remain undamaged when you hit objects with the Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella.
